Notting Hill Genesis is bringing forward emerging plans for the site at 314-334 Balham High Road. As part of this, we are starting a community consultation to understand local issues and seek early input on the plans.
The proposed redevelopment will provide around 140 new homes, including affordable homes, and active ground floor commercial spaces.
The site
The site is a collection of buildings along Balham High Road, the largest being the Halfords and Fulham Timber Merchants. The site is conveniently located close to Tooting Bec Underground Station, as well as local bus stops and Cycle Superhighway 7.
The site also includes the properties and yard area to the rear of 332 and 334 Balham
High Road, which currently includes a mix of light industrial and commercial uses. Part of the site was developed in the 1960s to create a petrol filling station and forecourt, which became a car showroom before later being redeveloped to become Halfords.
We are proposing to redevelop most of the site, bringing forward much needed housing for Wandsworth as well as re-providing retail and light industrial commercial spaces.

Information on our first stage of public consultation
Notting Hill Genesis is pleased to invite you to discuss our initial ideas on development plans for 314-334 Balham High Road.
We would like invite you to our drop-in event on Monday 18 July at Holy Trinity Church where we will show the plans to local residents and provide you with an opportunity to share your views. Members of the project team will be on hand to take you through the emerging proposals and answer any questions you may have.

The information displayed at the drop-in event will be available on this website from Wednesday 20 July and you will be able to submit your feedback online.
This is the first stage consultation on our proposals. We want to understand local issues and seek early input into the plans. We will be holding a further stage of consultation in the Autumn which will seek to respond to your feedback before a planning application is submitted later this year.
The initial consultation will be open until Monday 1 August and, following this, we will take on board all comments received.
