Developing plans for 314-334 Balham High Road

Thank you for visiting our dedicated consultation page for the site at 314-334 Balham High Road

Notting Hill Genesis is bringing forward emerging plans for the site at 314-334 Balham High Road. As part of this, we are starting a community consultation to understand local issues and seek early input on the plans.

The proposed redevelopment will provide around 140 new homes, including affordable homes, and active ground floor commercial spaces.

The site

The site is a collection of buildings along Balham High Road, the largest being the Halfords and Fulham Timber Merchants. The site is conveniently located close to Tooting Bec Underground Station, as well as local bus stops and Cycle Superhighway 7.

The site also includes the properties and yard area to the rear of 332 and 334 Balham

High Road, which currently includes a mix of light industrial and commercial uses. Part of the site was developed in the 1960s to create a petrol filling station and forecourt, which became a car showroom before later being redeveloped to become Halfords.

We are proposing to redevelop most of the site, bringing forward much needed housing for Wandsworth as well as re-providing retail and light industrial commercial spaces.

Information on our second stage of consultation

November 14, 2022 12:00 AM - November 29, 2022 12:00 AM

We would like to invite you to take part in our second stage of community consultation on the redevelopment proposals for 314-334 Balham High Road.

During the summer we shared our initial ideas for a residential-led, mixed use scheme for the site on Balham High Road, which includes Fulham Timber and Halfords.

Our team valued meeting a range of local people during the first stage of consultation, listening to your views and taking onboard feedback to help develop the plans. This took place alongside ongoing engagement with Wandsworth Council’s planning department and the Design Review Panel.

We would now like to share the progressed plans and discuss how we have responded to your feedback. This will take place before we finalise the plans and then submit a planning application to the Council in early 2023.

With this in mind, Notting Hill Genesis invites you to a drop-in event on Monday 28 November at Holy Trinity Church.

Click here for directions via Google Maps

The event is taking place from 4:30pm to 8pm and you are welcome to drop-in at any time. Information displayed at our event will be available on the project website from Wednesday 30 November along with an online questionnaire.
