Phase 1C Charter Square, Staines-upon-Thames, Spelthorne

As you might be aware, since 2016 London Square has been working hard to deliver the exciting mixed-use development of Charter Square, with the aim of reviving this neglected part of the town centre through the creation of new homes, flexible office space and a new public square.

Working with award-winning Assael Architecture, the architects for the previous phases, we are now bringing forward proposals for the final phase of development at the south-west corner of the site, adjacent to Mill Mead, which we are referring to as Phase 1C.

Phase 1C will complete this masterplan and unite the overall site. This will enhance the landscaped public square, improve the public realm with wider pavements and help activate the street by creating more commercial frontage.

The emerging proposals include:

•      66 new high-quality homes in a sustainable and well-connected location.

•      Dedicated private amenity space for each household, as well as access to a roof garden.

•      Flexible ground floor commercial space contributing to the vibrancy of the town centre.

•      Public courtyard in the centre of the masterplan will be enlarged and enhanced by this new phase

•      Improved public realm along the High Street and Mill Mead, with green elements and high- quality architecture.

•      Car parking spaces will be made available to residents within Phase 1A car park which is underused.
