Walnuts Shopping Centre, Orpington
Introduction
On this website, you will be able to find out about our aspirations for the Walnuts Shopping Centre, and the consultation we are undertaking. This website will be updated on Monday 14 December with more information and an online questionnaire.

Have your say
Notwithstanding the current restrictions in place, we aim to ensure our community engagement is inclusive and accessible for all. To that end, there are many ways to participate. This includes:
- Viewing our aspirations on this website
- Watching a recording of one of our webinar events
- Responding to our online survey here
- Viewing our aspirations in person at the Walnuts
- Writing to us via email or via Freepost
- Speaking to us on the telephone
Public display in the Walnuts
We will set up display banners in the Central Atrium in the Walnuts Shopping Centre, from Monday 14 to Monday 28 December. You can view the display from Monday to Saturday from 9am to 5:30pm and on Sunday from 10am to 4pm.
You will be able to leave feedback by activating a QR code on the banners, with your phone. We will also leave paper questionnaires and a ballot box by the displays if that is preferred.

Keeping you safe
The health and safety of the community and our project team is our key priority. We will implement a protocol in line with government guidance, which will be provided after national restrictions are lifted on Wednesday 2 December. We will include this here as soon as the information becomes available.
Feedback
We really do want to know what you think. Please complete our online questionnaire here from Monday 14 December after you have reviewed our aspirations either by joining one of our webinars, viewing our public display or reviewing the information here when the website is updated.
Public consultation in June 2020
In June, Areli invited local residents and businesses to define their problems, dreams and solutions for Orpington town centre.
Here’s a snapshot of what was said…
Now we have had the opportunity to consider your fantastic and insightful responses, we are excited to share our emerging proposals for the Walnuts Shopping Centre with you.
We recognise that the proposals for the Walnuts will play a key part in creating a vibrant and sustainable Orpington Town Centre for many years to come
To that end, we invite you to have your say on our aspirations and to help shape the Walnuts project to meets the needs of the local community.
